Branson Missouri prides itself on putting the “Show” in the Show Me State. For any taste, Branson offers premier entertainment: over 100 live shows, 250 places to eat, one-of-a-kind museums, magicians, and more. Three gorgeous lakes, horseback riding, kayaking, and ziplines provide breathtaking experiences for any outdoors person.

How did Branson become an entertainment hub? The first major attraction opened in 1960 atop Marval Cave, 10 miles west of town. It was, and is still, called Silver Dollar City. Themed shops, music, and an 1880s stream train, dazzle Missourians with distinct Ozarkian flavor. In 1991 the television program 60 Minutes deemed Branson “the live music capital of the entire universe”. Since then, Branson has seen tremendous growth in theatres, condominium housing, and even the opening of an airport. Branson celebrated its 100th anniversary as a city in 2012. Eight million visitors flock to the city every year. For more Branson info, visit the city’s Chamber of Commerce website.

Camdenton, Missouri is the county seat of Camden County. It is nestled on the west side of the Lake of the Ozarks. It has been dubbed the lake’s “Hub City”. Rich with natural beauty, Camdenton is home to Ha Ha Tonka State Park, and Lake of the Ozarks State Park. Castle ruins, a giant natural bridge, and one of the state’s largest natural springs make up Ha Ha Tonka’s remarkable scenery.

Camdenton residents and the thousands of lake-visitors enjoy annual festivals that bring family and friends together. For over 60 years, Camdenton has hosted The Dogwood Festival every spring that welcomes 50 vendors, four pageant contests, and a full midway of rides. In September, Camdenton salutes service members by hosting the Lake of the Ozarks Air Show. The show features nothing less than sky divers, a B-25 WWII Bomber, professional wing walkers and more.

You can “get your kicks on Route 66”, but be sure to stop in Lebanon, Missouri on the way! Thousands of visitors who drive historic Route 66 tour Lebanon for its welcoming community, and outdoor or indoor adventures.

Bennett Spring State Park near Lebanon is the fourth largest state park in Missouri outputting over 100 million gallons of water per day. Its waterways teem with trout fish. Bass, crappie, catfish, and perch can all be found in nearby waters. Not a fisher? Then relax on a leisurely float trip down the river, a favorite Missouri pastime. For a high-speed adventure, watch a race at the I-44 Speedway featured on Nascar weekly races.

Every summer, young farmers and agriculture experts gather at the Tri-County Fair to showcase their hard work throughout the year. The fair offers a rumbling demolition derby, livestock shows, pageants, a carnival, and fun for the whole family! In the wintertime, families gather on an early December night for a Christmas parade. Lights, floats, caroling, and plenty of hot chocolate ring in holiday cheer.
